The Men might of been small in numbers, but was big at heart when they brought the old gospel March 28,2010. Rev Boroughs from Smith College was the guest speaker explaining the importance of Palm Sunday. Since this is Rev. Boroughs last year here, we will pray for you and your travels.
This is the second year of the Gospel Stravaganza and it continued to praise Gods name to the highest with song. Rev. Floyd Williams invited the Goodwin Choir to worship with him and the Lathorp Nursing Home in Northampton July 19th 2009. It was a great time hearing Rev. Williams play the piano and share scripture with us and the people at Lathrop Nursing Home.
As the Goodwin Choir wind-down for the summer, once again they come strong. Missing a few members, they come together with there hearts and minds on God singing “The Blood” directed by Marisha Joyner and singing solo is Jacqui Wallace.
Goodwin would like to welcome back Pastor Alfred Johnson Sr. along with First Lady Tina Johnson, as God has placed them in our lives for another year. The men of Goodwin celebrated there Annual Men’s Day starting with a breakfast where Dr. Bill Darity was the speaker discussing mens health. On Sunday Rev. Floyd Williams delivered the message, and the Men’s Day Choir showed how sweet the name of Jesus truly is. Thank you men for making another Men’s Day something to remember.
